Designed for intertarsal arthrodesis where the tibio-tarsal joint is preserved, with hybrid hole sizing to suit larger screws in the calcaneus and smaller screws distally.
Where the tibio tarsal joint can be preserved then intertarsal arthrodesis is preferred to pan-tarsal arthrodesis. plates allow larger screws to be used in the calcaneous and smaller diameter screws in the metatarsals. Hybridisation is also helpful for thinnning the plates distally, aiding closure of soft tissues.
